Microsoft announces price rises of upto 33%
Now is a good time to consider reviewing and renewing your options for licensing of Microsoft Products, says IT & Cloud services provider Sherr Technologies.
Microsoft have today announced price rises of upto 33% on many software licenses, which will come into effect from the 1st July 2012. The price rises will affect those in corporate and government sectors, but not academic.
The price rise is claimed to bring UK pricing in line with those in the EU, as historically, according to Microsoft, the GB Pound has faired more favourably from exchange rate fluctuations. Microsoft does adjust its pricing less often than many vendors, which is why this price increase is so noticeable.
